Here are some announcements our parents need to know about Pilgrim Awana!

  1. First of all, please drop off and pick up your children on time.
  2. We will do our best to teach the gospel to your children in effective and fun ways. We truly recommend that parents MUST help their children with review and preparation at home.  All the handbooks used in Awana are designed in this way. Without the parents’ supports, the children could have difficulty moving on.
  3. New clubbers will receive a handbook and uniform at the time of registration (Payment must be made.  Click here for fees).  Then, when the clubbers finish or lose the handbook or need a new uniform when outgrown or lost, a new purchase must be made (Click here for prices).
  4. Parents should make sure children do NOT to bring any electronic appliances to Awana, such as cellphones, game devices, etc.
  5. Regarding shares(Awana currency), Awana Market happens at the end of each semester, and children should use up all shares at the market: the shares CANNOT be carried forward. Children will be compensated by 50% of shares they have earned if they have lost them or forgot to bring them to the market.
  6. The purpose of Theme Night is to encourage children to get more involved in Awana (Examples for Theme Night: Color Night, Pajama Night, Bible Quiz Night, etc).slide1
  7. Parents should not be visible to children during Awana.  Instead, we recommend parents to take one of two Bible study classes provided by Awana.
  8. Parents should pray continually for Pilgrim Awana.  It is needless to say how important prayer is in the clubbers’ Christian journeys.
  9. Click here (schedule) for tentative schedule for 2017 Spring

Please help children memorize the “Awana Pledge” and “Awana Song”.

Awana PledgeI pledge allegiance to the Awana flag which stands for the Awana clubs                                                             whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and                                                                           train them to serve Him.

Awana Song:

Firmly Awana stands, led by the Lord’s commands,
“Approved workmen are not ashamed,”
Boys and girls for His service claimed!
Hail! Awana! On the march for youth;
Hail! Awana! Holding forth the truth.
Building lives on the Word of God Awana stands!
Our Savior following with steps unfaltering,
And love unaltering, His praise we sing,
His banner over us, in service glorious,
We’ll fight victorious for Christ our King!
YOUTH ON THE MARCH!

Awana Leaders Outing

From July 7 – July 8, we had Awana Overnight Retreat at Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, NJ.  We were all blessed by God throughout the retreat and hope that more leaders can join next year!

On November 23, Awana leaders went out for bowling at Palisades Mall, New York.  After each semester, Pilgrim Awana plans to have an outing for leaders who serve God in faith.
